Enjoy wine and design along the lower Fox River Valley

By Mike Michaelson | Midwest travel

Head-high cornstalks line a path that runs through the flat farmland of northern Illinois about 60 miles west of Chicago. Winter Winemakers Dinner

Saturday evening, February 23, 2008, we hosted a romantic evening by serving an exquisite 5 course dinner paired with our wines drawn straight from our tanks and barrels! Tables were elegantly arranged in our tank and barrel room creating a truly unique ambiance that only a winery could!

Illinois Vs the WorldIllinois Vs the World

Illinois Vs the World

Thursday evening, May 27th, 2008, some of our Wine Club Members and their guests attended a blind wine tasting to compare several of our Fox Valley Illinois wines to wines produced from all around the world.  To start the juices flowing, we had a dish filled with all different tastes and smells (vanilla, cassis, rhubarb, tobacco, anise, just to name a few) to better identify the aromas and tastes of the wines. It was a fun night and educational also!

Chocolate and Wine Pairing Class

Chocolate & Wine Pairing Class

Saturday afternoon, April 12, 2008, members of our wine club and their guests joined us for a decadent, mouthwatering class pairing many different styles of chocolate with many different styles of our wines. We indulged our senses as we sipped our Vintage Zin out of chocolate rim dipped wine glasses, and saturated clemetines in melted milk chocolate! Yumm Yumm!
